In what has quickly become a horrible season for the New York Knicks, it seems like any resembelance to the opening day roster is just about gone.
Carmelo Anthony is out for the season.
Amar’e Stoudemire was exiled right as the NBA All-Star game ended in Madison Square Garden.
J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert were sent in a trade to join LeBron James in Cleveland.
Don’t forget Samuel Dalembert was also dropped from the team and has yet to join an NBA team.
Now it appears the one remaining legitimate veteran on the team, Jose Calderon, might be out for the remainder of the season.
Following official release from the Knicks.
Jose Calderon received Platelet Rich Plasma treatment today for his sore left Achilles tendon. He will be reevaluated in approx. 10-14 days.

From Real GM’s Shams Charania.
NY's Jose Calderon underwent PRP injection recently, not surgery, source tells RealGM. He could return if Knicks had playoff implications.

Calderon underwent the treatment for the Achilles injury he was diagnosed with in early March. Calderon has missed the previous 10 games and has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies in which New York is a 14-point underdog.
The Knicks ‘playoff implications’ are non-existent. Just pack it up and go home Jose ‘Hams’ Calderon. He’s been fighting this achilles injury for the latter part of the season and it’s just time to end it while you can and not try to fight back. What’s there left fighting for?
It’s gotten so bad in New York that the lone remaining starter from opening day is none other than Shane Larkin.
Make the most out of that top 5 pick, New York. You’re going to need it for next season.
