It’s always a good feeling to come home, especially after you haven’t been home for a long time. LeBron James knows all about that and guys like DeAndre Jordan or LaMarcus Aldridge may also experience that feeling of coming home this summer, depending on where they sign during free agency.
One person that could go home, who actually would fit his home team’s plan is San Antonio Spurs sharp shooting wing defender, Danny Green. The New York Knicks have money and incentive for Green to want to come home, so why not try it?

Danny Green could be the best possible option for the Knicks this summer at the shooting guard position. The other top guys available, Monta Ellis, Wesley Matthews and Arron Afflalo, either don’t fit the Knicks system, are coming off an injury or are simply not as good as Green.
The former UNC Tar Heel is the prototypical ‘3 and D’ player and it’s just what the Knicks could use in the triangle. A guy who will spot up and shoot when called upon and someone who can play fantastic defense on many of the great wing players in the league today.
The Knicks should put all of their eggs in the Danny Green basket if they were serious about bringing in a good wing player. Sign him this summer and even if it is for the max, it won’t look bad in a few years. It could end up being a steal for the Knicks to bring back their native son.
