Fox and Jackson, drafted by the Kings in June, both grew up in and around Houston. Both players also played high school basketball in the city, where their love for the game expanded greatly.
Hurricane Harvey ripped through the city of Houston earlier in the month, causing city-wide destruction and claiming the lives of several citizens. Much of the city was damaged by the surreal flooding caused by the storm.
Dozens of players around the association have done their part in pitching in to those in need. Some players even traveled down to Houston to personally help, including those from the city.
Jackson and Fox released a video for the Kings asking fans to help donate to those in need:
Other players will likely join in on the action as time moves forward. The game is currently scheduled to happen sometime in September, according to Cunningham.
