Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has landed his next major role in a feature film. The Ohio native will star opposite Jessica Biel and Xochitl Gomez in the sci-fi thriller, Ursa Major. Written by Patrick Somerville, Colleen O’Brien and Katie French, the film will be directed by Jonathan and Josh Baker.
“[Ursa Major] is set on an earth-like planet, where a mother and daughter fight for survival while hiding from a group of relentless hunters. With the added threat of an imminent and deadly storm, Natalie — now a teenager — begins questioning her mother, Charlie, about who they really are, how they got here, and what they need to do to survive,” a brief description from Deadline reads.
Kid Cudi is primarily known for his musical work, but his acting resumé dates back more than a decade with roles in How To Make It In America and Entourage. More recently, he has earned recurring roles in Westworld, X and Parachute. He also made a cameo in the latest version of House Party from SpringHill Entertainment. In this film, we will play the role of Blair, an enemy soldier that lands on the same planet as Charlie and Natalie.
