Khalid is easily one of the most talented R&B artists of his generations. During his senior year of high school, Khalid’s career took off with the surprising success of his first commercial single, “Location”. Shortly after graduating with his senior class, Khalid released his debut album, American Teen. The 2017 album went platinum and featured platinum singles like “Location”, “Saved” and “Young, Dumb and Broke”. This year, Khalid has continued to put out great music by collaborating with artists like Ty Dolla $ign, 6lack, Normani and H.E.R.
This week, Khalid stopped by the NPR Tiny Desk stage to share all of the music he has shared in his short, yet successful career. Khalid started with his single, “Young, Dumb & Broke” and then moved on to records like “Location” and “Saved”. Overall, it was much of the same from the young superstar who is looking to release new music in the near future.
This summer, Khalid will be performing much of his music overseas in Ireland, Belgium, Portugal, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. However, Khalid will fly back to his home country for the Austin City Limits Festival in October. There’s no word on when Khalid’s sophomore project will be released, but you can check out his newest song on the Superfly soundtrack.
