In the wake of a chaotic day involving sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill, the entertainment world is dealing with another case involving sexual misconduct of its own. Less than six months since several allegations of sexual misconduct first appeared, Kevin Spacey is facing an additional suit of sexual battery involving an unnamed masseur. According to the masseur’s claim, Spacey allegedly made several unwanted sexual advances during an appointment at Spacey’s home back in 2016.
The claim submitted to the court states, “Spacey assaulted and battered plaintiff by forcing plaintiff to touch his scrotum, testicles, and penis, grabbing plaintiff’s shoulders and pulling him in for an apparent attempted forced kiss, and grabbing plaintiff’s genitalia.” The claim also states, “During these assaults, plaintiff repeatedly asked Spacey to allow him to leave, but Spacey blocked access to Spacey’s massage table and the door with his naked body.” Finally, the claim asserts, “Spacey acted with reckless disregard for plaintiff’s rights and feelings, and with deliberate indifference to the certainty that plaintiff would suffer emotional distress.”
Spacey issued an official statement shortly after the claims were made public. Spacey expressed that he was “horrified” reading the claims, but does not recall the encounter.
