The crop of high-end free agents bigs is drying up like a well in the Sahara desert, making second-tier frontcourt options like Kevin Seraphin very popular to those squads who fell short in their respective chases for a star or player that can contribute right away. Now 25-year-old, and an unrestricted free agent Kevin Seraphin is getting interest from the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and possibly the San Antonio Spurs, reports Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

As I’ve grown to understand free agency money isn’t always about which players are better than whom, and who makes more money, It’s all about supply and demand. For Kevin Seraphin, the Wizards’ backup center for his five NBA seasons, this is his time to cash in as an unrestricted and possibly find the starting job he covets because currently players of his skill-set are in short supply and high demand in the NBA. Seraphin may not be the best defender but he’s got good hands, a good offensive game and he’s also got some decent size to him as well. Hopefully he stays consistent with whatever team lands him.
“I definitely want a chance to be a starter, I definitely want to be somewhere I have a chance to be a starter.”
Seraphin said to CSNWashington’s J. Michael back in May.
Seraphin averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds with a PER of 12.5 in 79 games last season with the Wizards, with his numbers dropping to 5.5 points and 3.2 rebounds during Washington’s playoff run.
