Kevin Gates has released his latest project, I’m Him. Gates’ follow-up to Only The Generals Gon’ Understand includes seventeen tracks. Most notably, the project includes the previously released tracks like “Push It” and “Facts”. Most recently, Gates released the video for his track, “RBS Intro”.
When speaking about the inspiration behind his latest work, Gates stated, “All of those negative connotations the world puts out…I’m him.” He adds, “All of those positive connotations the world puts out…I’m him as well. This is the new Kevin versus the old Kevin. It’s a celebration. It’s a rebirth. It’s redemption. I’m overcoming who I used to be in order to be greater.”
In addition to releasing a new body of work, Gates is preparing to head out on tour. This fall, Kevin Gates will kick off the I’m Him tour in Chicago on October 12th before making stops in Boston, New York, Dallas, New Orleans, Denver and many more cities. The tour will conclude on November 30th in Seattle at the WaMu Theater. In the meantime, check out I’m Him above.
