Brooklyn Nets are currently on the outside looking in concerning the Eastern Conference playoff picture and there has been trade rumor upon trade rumors and more trade rumors for the longest time now.
The contract that will be hardest to trade is that of Kevin Garnett. The obvious age issues and contract problems are there considering Garnett is 38, in his 20th NBA season and owed $12 million on his current deal.
The team will be sold by their billionaire owner, Mikhail Prokhorov, and you would imagine it would be a lot easier for him to pitch the team if he didn’t have any huge contracts on the books.
There have been rumors and ideas, even by Jalen Rose on the ‘Jalen and Jacoby’ podcast from Grantland, that Garnett will be bought out before the season is over.
Garnett recently shot down the idea that he wants to be done with Brooklyn.

Garnett leaving the Nets would be best. While he is WAY past his prime, him on the Los Angeles Clippers alongside his old coach from the Boston Celtics, Doc Rivers, would actually make a lot of sense considering the Clippers depth issues.
The future Hall Of Famer going to a team that has a relative chance of winning would be most profitable for his career, especially since it is long considered this will be his last season.
