Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant has been in the spotlight this offseason. He has been active as ever on social media and made an appearance on a two-part episode of the Pull Up podcast with Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum.
Now, Durant has appeared in a video, in which he gives advice to Zaire Wade, son of Dwyane Wade:
“He can pass. He can shoot. We already know what it is,” Durant said about Zaire Wade.
Durant gave Zaire some advice, encouraging him to be more aggressive and to not be afraid to shoot the ball. “If you feeling a pull-up, shoot it,” Durant said. “If you see a 3, shoot it. You passed up a couple of 3s I think you could have shot today… Shoot the ball. Be aggressive.”
Zaire Wade can shoot it, and he can pass too. Coming from Durant, one of the best scorers to ever play the game, encouraged aggression isn’t surprising.
Zaire Wade is just 16 years old but has already been on an unofficial visit to Michigan State University. At 6 feet, 2 inches and 175 pounds, he has terrific size for a guard his age.
Furthermore, Zaire Wade is already used to playing against NBA competition; in July, a video surfaced in which he played in a Miami Pro League, sharing the court with NBA talent including Andre Drummond, Hassan Whiteside and Tim Hardaway Jr. Here are Zaire’s highlights from that game:
