In the world of Hip-Hop, Kendrick Lamar has proved his worth and has exceeded any and all expectations that anyone could have imagined since his debut album. With last year proving to provide many great moments for the genre of Hip-Hop, Kendrick found himself standing out among the crowd as he delivered a prolific and thought-provoking album with To Pimp A Butterfly.’ Excelling in all areas, Kendrick went forth to tour the United States, in intimate venues, in support of the album and has also pushed the envelope with music videos that not only celebrated Black culture but also addressed the issues that continue to plague the community. Already winning multiple awards out of the 11 Grammys that he’s up for tonight, the party doesn’t stop there as Kendrick took to the Grammy stage to deliver a performance that will be talked about for days to come. Performing a medley from To Pimp A Butterfly that consisted of, ‘The Blacker The Berry,’ ‘Alright,’ & ‘Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst,’ Kendrick definitely delivered a “break the internet” moment that put his artistry and passion to the forefront and once again proves how needed he is for Hip-Hop and the accompanying culture.
