Kehlani is prepared to release their fourth studio album, Crash, on June 21, 2024.
Crash serves as the follow-up to Blue Water Road, which was released on April 29, 2022. The 13-track project included contributions from Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, BLXST, Ambré and Thundercat. It also spawned several standout tracks, including “Everything” and “Any Given Sunday” featuring BLXST. Commercially, the project debuted 13th overall on the Billboard 200 as it garnered more than 20 million on-demand streams. Critically, it was received well, earning praise from Isabelia Herrera of The New York Times and Yolanda Machado of Entertainment Weekly.
“On Blue Water Road, Kehlani makes a pilgrimage to the next phase in their life, one in which they’re more reflective of, and content with, who they are today: a mother, an artist, someone with flaws who knows there’s nothing but an open, sometimes rocky road ahead,” Machado wrote.
Kehlani’s Crash has been teed up by the release of “After Hours,” an energetic, summer smash pulling from Nina Sky’s “Move Ya Body.” Thus far, the track has climbed to 40th on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and 14th on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.
