OMG! That trailer was……oh nevermind. Universal recently dropped the trailer for the trailer for ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom‘. Trailer for trailers are far from out of the norm in this social media age we’re currently residing in but in my opinion, this one is particularly egregious. The footage is just fine and it appears we’re going to be receiving some sort of volcano/dinosaur hybrid film for at least part of the time, which is something I need in my life as soon as possible. Though, when it was all said and done, I couldn’t shake the fact that at the end of the trailer for the trailer it hits you with ‘TRAILER COMING THURSDAY’. Hmm. I wonder why this could be. The trailer tease debuted last night during the Sunday night NFL game on NBC. NBC is a part of Comcast who also owns Universal Studios, the studio behind the ‘Jurrasic World’ franchise. Now, call me crazy but I think the two might be linked. Furthermore, the Thursday release date for the full trailer just happens to occur on a night where NBC has the Thursday night NFL game this week. Leading me to believe that the full trailer won’t drop until either just before game time or during the game, which is also coincidently usually the lowest rated nationally broadcast game of the week. I’m all for corporate synergy and doing what you gotta do to get your ratings up but come on, stringing out this whole process out over a nearly an entire week just looks desperate.
We’ll have more information of ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ as it develops.
