Norman is considered as one of the top defensive backs in the NFL. He left the Carolina Panthers and signed with the Redskins in 2016. Norman is known for his trash talk but backs it up by shutting down some of the top receivers in the league.
The Redskins have had a decent start to the year. They held as long as they could with the Chiefs and beat the Raiders in week 3. The defense has played a big part in their early season success. Not having Norman on the field could create problems in the future.
The bye week could give Norman some time to recover. The NFC East is a tough division. The Eagles and the Cowboys are teams the Redskins will have to overcome if they wish to have any hopes of making the playoffs. The Redskins currently sit at a 2-2 record. Their next game is October 15 against the 49ers.
