One of fans biggest complaints, and they have plenty, about the NFL’s commissioner is his lack of consistency. Josh Brown’s case is another prime example. Ezekiel Elliott received news that his six-game suspension was upheld a year after Brown was suspended only one game for similar crimes.
Today, the NFL re-opened Josh Browns’ files and handed him a six game suspension as well.

Brown is currently a free agent. Last season, after serving a one game suspension, the New York Giants cut him. Brown, now 38 years old, is unlikely to be signed by another team. But if he does, he is suspended for the first six games. Why suspend a 38-year old free agent kicker?
This isn’t about Josh Brown. This is about Ezekiel Elliott, future cases, and consistency. This is the commissioner realizing he has not been consistent in his suspensions and trying to fix it. Remember, Elliott is still awaiting his “official ruling” for a restraining order that would allow him to play beyond week one.
Will Josh Brown’s ruling have any impact on Ezekiel Elliott’s case or future domestic violence cases?
