Jose Andrés is a famous chef from the Washington DC area, and wants Paul Pierce back with the Wizards for next season so badly that he is willing to cook a meal every month for Pierce to pick up his option for next season. The offer was made in form of a tweet, and ended up receiving a lot of support from fans hoping The Truth would see and accept the deal.

If Pierce chooses to come back to the Wizards next season, they would still have the clutch player they need while also keeping their young core. Without Pierce, Otto Porter may be thrown into the starting lineup even though another year behind Pierce could highly benefit him. Otto is ready to take over the reins, but could still benefit from another year behind the savvy veteran.
After earning around 5 million dollars this season, and even more throughout his career, Pierce for sure does not need to accept this, but not much else can beat having a celebrity chef cooking meals for you. Although the offer may not work, any momentum that shows Pierce support from Washington will be key towards bringing last season’s hero back for one more year.
