The Chicago Bears are sending running back Jordan Howard to the Philadelphia Eagles. The trade sends the former pro bowler to Philadelphia and in return, will receive a sixth-round pick in the 2020 draft that can become a fifth-round pick.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news on the trade via Twitter.

The Bears have had one of the leagues best running back duos with Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. Last season with the Bears, Howard raked up 935 yards on 250 rushing attempts while splitting touches with Cohen. The Bears will now need to fill the gap that the absence of Howard leaves in the offense. They may have the player on the roster if Schefter is correct in his assumption that the Bears will lean on new addition, running back Mike Davis.

As for the Eagles, Howard will provide much-needed stability at the running back position. The Eagles had five different running backs attempt a rush last season. Howard will take over the Eagles backfield and in his first year as the featured back, will be given the opportunity to record better stats than he could while sharing the load in Chicago. The addition of Howard and the return of quarterback Carson Wentz should help the Eagles return to the playoffs and give them a chance at winning a second championship in three years.
