This season, we’ve seen second-year man Brandon Ingram progress and blossom into an up-and-coming superstar for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has improved nearly every facet of his game, becoming more well-rounded and taking it to the rim with more confidence and regularity than we’ve seen before.
Ingram’s hot start came together last night when the Los Angeles Lakers squared off against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Duke product dropped 21 points while also adding 7 rebounds and handing out 6 assists. Oh, Ingram also hit the biggest shot of the evening: the 3-pointer that buried Philly with under a second remaining.

Obviously a huge shot, Ingram needs to develop into the head of the snake for the Lakers moving into the future and a game-winning shot of this caliber is exactly what the franchise wants to see out of their second overall pick in 2016.
Following the game, it was guard Jordan Clarkson who had the most priceless reaction to Ingram’s big shot. Following from Lakers reporter Serena Winters:
Jordan Clarkson with some words of endearment for Brandon Ingram’s game-winner: “Sh-t, that mother f-cker was wide open! He better shoot that mother f-cker. If you ain't shoot that sh-t, I might’ve slapped them worms right off your mother f-ckin head.” ? pic.twitter.com/giTqO9rHkx

If that profanity-laced description of Ingram’s dagger wasn’t enough, Clarkson also provided insight to La Times’ Tania Ganguli about the growth he’s seen out of the wiry forward this season:
“Big for him. He put in a lot of work this summer, so it’s good to see it come together,” Clarkson said. “That’s my dog growing up right in front of my arms. That’s my young boy right there.”
As Brandon Ingram continues to transform into a more complete player at the raw age of just 20 years old, the sky remains the limit for this promising talent.
