Hail, Caesar! – Los Angeles Premiere
Over the last year or so, Jonah Hill has made the transition from actor to director. Most notably, he directed his first feature film, mid 90’s, last fall. In addition, he’s set to direct music videos for Steve Lacy and Vampire Weekend in the near future. Going forward, it looks like he’ll have another name to add to the growing list of music videos he’s set to direct.
Over the weekend, Jonah Hill hopped on social media to post a screenshot of a conversation that he had with Gucci Mane about directing a music video for him. Gucci Mane opens up saying hello and Hill responds by writing, “Wow. [I’ve] been waiting for this text all my life. We gonna make a classic or what?” Gucci Mane replies, “Hell yeah. We gone make a classic. I’m bout to send [a] song.” In the post’s caption, Hill goes more in depth about his project with Gucci. Hill writes, “Music videos were my favorite growing up and I feel grateful I get to direct them with some of my favorite artists. Let’s go!”
It’s unclear what song Gucci Mane is looking to do a video for, but whatever it is will be worth watching.
