John Wall has been very candid about his lackluster game seven performance against the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA playoffs. Even now, almost three months since that disheartening showing, Wall made it a point to tell people he still thinks about what could have been if he just played to his standards. He’ll have at least four more years to do that for the Washington Wizards fans but according to Wall, he wants to make an impact in DC for the remainder of his career.
The Wizards inked Wall to a huge extension a few weeks ago to keep him in the nation’s capital for what could possibly be six more years in total. Wall isn’t thinking of what the end of that contract might hold but he is thinking about his goals for himself and the team. He wants to retire with the Wizards, have his jersey retired by the team and bring a title to Washington DC.
John Wall said the following during a press conference today to officially announce his new extension.
John Wall is all-in for Washington, D.C., both now and forever.

The former first overall pick is coming off a career year in which he averaged 23.1 points, 10.7 dimes, 4.2 boards, and two steals per contest. His dominance led to him earning his fourth All-Star nod and first All-NBA honor.
