The NBA draft is now under a week away so the rumors, stories and drama should run rampant. Perfect for this time of the year seeing as the season just ended. The first overall pick in the NBA Draft went to the Minnesota Timberwolves and when it did go down that way, the players didn’t give the cameras an exciting look.
While Jahlil Okafor might not be too excited for the possibility of the Timberwolves selecting him, it won’t matter because Karl-Anthony Towns is ready for the T-Wolves. He’s already denied workout requests from the Lakers, had an interview with the T-Wolves today and according to his college coach, he likes the city and wants to get great things started.
Following from Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv.
Calipari on Towns: "He likes Minnesota. He said from day 1 'I'll go to Minnesota, let's build a franchise.'"

Karl-Anthony Towns headed to the Wolves makes sense. He would be a great compliment to the offensive minded Nikola Pekovic in the Wolves frontcourt and they could even try to move Pek and make Towns the starter. They could just place one of their young forwards in Anthony Bennett or Adriean Payne alongside him.
Towns can do a lot of thing very well. Great analysis, I know but it’s the truth. He actually has a nice little jumpshot, he can finish in the post and at the rim. He’s great defensively and can guard bigs and smalls while also being able to defend the paint. Towns is a no-brainer number 1 pick, so the Wolves won’t let him slip. Hopefully, they won’t be silly enough to let him slip. Bring in Towns to have him work alongside Kevin Garnett could not only advance his career but those of fellow number one picks Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins as well.
