“He says he’s not done,” Dr. Jill Biden said during a recent interview when asked if her husband will run for re-election.
“He’s not finished what he’s started. And that’s what’s important.”
Dr. Jill Biden’s words fall in line with the sentiments shared by President Joe Biden during a recent interview with ABC News.
“[M]y intention is — from– has — intention has been from the beginning to run. But there are too many other things we have to finish in the near term before I start a campaign,” the President said during the interview.
If President Joe Biden were elected, he would complete his second term at 86 years old. As concerns regarding his age continue to mount, the President has met with members of his medical team.
“President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency,” White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote in a lengthy memo.
When Biden announces his intent to run for re-election, he will join a growing pool of candidates that currently includes Marianne Williamson and former President Donald Trump. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is also expected to run for President in 2024.
