The New York Knicks handed Joakim Noah one of the worst contracts in the NBA, a disastrous 4-year $72 million deal that amounted to mostly dead money. The Knicks ended up cutting ties with the veteran center, allowing him to sign with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Injuries played a part in Noah being both ineffective and incapable, but there was another reason his time in New York did not work out. He was “too lit” for New York.
. @JoakimNoah breaks down what exactly with his time with the Knicks and why it didn't work out earlier today on the @ChrisVernonShow show presented by @DirectAutoIns.

Joakim Noah came to the Knicks the same time when the Bulls traded Derrick Rose to the Big Apple. The two never materialized, and are no now longer on the team. Noah had a tumultuous time, in particular. He got into verbal altercations with former head coach Jeff Hornacek, resulting in the two having to be separated. He was also suspended for taking a banned substance, saying he took it to help speed up his healing. And to make matters worse, his play on the court was never up to par to his own standards. In the 53 games he played for New York, Noah averaged 4.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
