Interscope Records Co-Founder Jimmy Iovine is reportedly the latest music executive to be the subject of a bombshell lawsuit.
On Wednesday, November 22, a woman who wishes not to be identified filed a lawsuit in New York. The lawsuit alleges engaged in “multiple instances of sexual abuse and forcible touching of her, including a specific incident of sexual misconduct.” The lawsuit also alleges the plaintiff endured sexual harassment and retaliation. Now, she is seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
The plaintiff’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, did not provide further comment. However, Iovine’s representatives say the record executive is “shocked and baffled” by the lawsuit.
“This inquiry is the first we’ve heard of this matter,” Iovine told Rolling Stone.
“No one has ever made a claim like this against Jimmy Iovine, nor have we been contacted or made aware of any complaint by anyone, including this unknown plaintiff prior to now.”
