The Team USA roster is starting to reveal itself and it’s starting to finally shape into a team. With Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, DeMarcus Cousins, and Paul George confirming they were joining the team earlier this week, today more players announced that their accepting the invitation to play for Team USA.
Carmelo Anthony and Kyle Lowry were the first players to confirm today that they will join Team USA in Rio De Janeiro this summer, while Damian Lillard opted out. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, another eastern conference all-star will join the Team USA squad today, Jimmy Butler. From Stein:

With Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving locks for the team, but not confirmed yet, due to long tiring playoff runs, this Team USA squad is looking to be very different from the roster we saw 2 years ago. Butler is also dealing with his own injury issues as he had an injury riddled season this season which didn’t help the Bulls. Hopefully he’s healthy enough to play for Team USA and also come back for a Bulls team that looks to be surrounding their team around the young all-star Butler.
