
NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson has announced he will be retiring from full-time racing in 2023. His racing schedule for the 2023 racing calendar is unclear, but it will not be full-time according to the drier. The future member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame just recently turned 47 years old. Johnson had one of the most dominant runs in the history of NASCAR in his career and was a top figure in the sport for over a decade.

In his career, Jimmie Johnson has won seven NASCAR Cup Series, tying him for the most in the history of the event with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. He has won countless prestigious races in his career and will be remembered as one of the better drivers in the history of NASCAR. Those seven Cup Series wins came in 2006, 2007, 2008 ,2009 ,2010 ,2013 , and 2016. Nearly a decade of uninterrupted success in NASCAR.
