Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production imprint, Artists Equity, has enlisted Jharrel Jerome for their upcoming film, Unstoppable. The film will place Jerome in the role of Anthony Robles alongside Jennifer Lopez.
The developing picture shares the same title as Robles’ 2012 book, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion. Born in La Mirada, California, Robles is an author, motivational speaker and championship wrestler. The 34-year-old author was born with one leg, but refused to wear a prosthetic leg. As a middle school student, he took up wrestling and became a top wrestler in the state of Arizona. He won two championships and each of his last 96 high school matches. Despite his success, he was not heavily recruited by his preferred college choices. As a walk-on at Arizona State University, he won one national title and three Pac-10 titles.
Robles will reportedly act as a consultant for the production while Damon and Affleck play the role of producers. However, it is unclear what role Lopez will have. There is no release date set for the film as of now.
