Philadelphia 76ers presumed starting point guard Jerryd Bayless will likely miss around a month while recovering from a torn ligament in his left wrist, reports ESPN’s Jeff Goodman:
Philadelphia 76ers guard Jerryd Bayless is likely to miss the first month of the regular season while he recovers from a torn ligament in his left wrist, sources told ESPN.
The team announced last week that Bayless will not have surgery on his wrist, but did not put a timetable on the injury.
With Bayless missing time, the Sixers will have second-year guard T.J. McConnell and 30-year-old Sergio Rodriguez available at the point guard position.
Bayless, who spent the last two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, performed incredibly well off the bench in a contract year, shooting a career-high 43.7% from beyond the arc.
Of course, the Sixers will also be missing no. 1 overall draft pick Ben Simmons, who is expected to return to the floor in January after fracturing his foot.
