Jeremy Lin, the Brooklyn Nets point guard, is looking to return to the Nets lineup after the All-Star break, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Lin hasn’t seen the court since straining his left hamstring in December.

In the few games he’s played this year, Lin has averaged 13.9 points, 5.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. He’s also shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from downtown. In the 12 games Lin has played in, the Nets have won three, including a 2-3 start to the season. While the Nets are 3-9 with Lin in their lineup, they are 6-35 without him.
The Harvard graduate signed a three-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets this past offseason worth $36 million. He was coming off a season with the Charlotte Hornets, and came onto the Nets roster with the expectation of starting. However, Lin has only played more than 30 minutes just three times in his 12 games with Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Nets currently have the worst record in the league by a fair margin, and it’s not unknown to the basketball world that they are the worst team in the league. The downside is that they are giving their current first round pick to the Boston Celtics, so they can’t tank. It remains to be seen whether or not Jeremy Lin will help the winning effort in Brooklyn.
