The Brooklyn Nets have announced that Lin will miss the entire year with a press release. General Manager Sean Marks issued a statement that laments the injury suffered by Lin.
“Jeremy worked tremendously hard during the offseason and in training camp and was excited for the prospects of the team this season. We feel awful that the injury will cost him the season. However, our entire organization will be there to support Jeremy in every way possible throughout his recovery. Jeremy remains an important part of this team and will continue to contribute in a leadership role.”
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the game against the Pacers. Lin went up for a layup but came down awkwardly on his knee. The reaction from the seven-year veteran made it apparent that something wasn’t quite right.

The Brooklyn Nets will now have to forge ahead this season without the leadership of Lin on the court. No one projected the young Nets team to make any real noise in the League, but the team seemed poised to have an exciting season, regardless of wins and losses.
We will have more on Lin’s injury as the situation as it develops.
