It’s hard to say that anyone has had a better run over the last 12 months than Jazmine Sullivan. While Sullivan has always been recognized as one of the most talented vocalists and songwriters in the world, her star power has grown exponentially within the last year. Her latest stretch kicked off with the release of her album, Heaux Tales. Complete with features from H.E.R, Ari Lennox and Anderson .Paak, the project earned her the fourth spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Not long thereafter, she performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl alongside Chris Stapleton. In the months that followed, Jazmine Sullivan dropped a number of loosies, appeared on Rick Ross’ newest album and earned her three Grammy nominations. Now, she’s gearing up for her spring tour and it looks like she’s delivered a deluxe version of the critically-acclaimed project.
“I started Heaux Tales with the idea of having open conversations as Black women, and you can’t put all of that into one project. There’s always more to talk about,” she told Variety about the special release.
The deluxe edition will include “Tragic” with U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters and a handful of new songs. The special release will be followed by the start of Jazmine Sullivan’s tour on February 15 in Seattle. Check out the full release below.
