
JAY-Z has pulled out of Woodstock 50. The axed performance comes a few weeks before the festival is set to take place.
According to The Associated Press, a source told the publication on Friday “Jay-Z will no longer close the three-day festival scheduled for Aug. 16-18.” John Fogerty has also pulled out of the event. Fogerty performed during the original Woodstock festival in 1969.
Woodstock 50 has been hit with several issues over the last few months. This includes the festival allegedlly relocating from New York to Maryland. Woodstock will now reportedly take place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. A representative for Woodstock 50 however, told The Associated Press that she couldn’t confirm the venue’s change and said “the organizers had no further comment.”
The Woodstock 50 lineup includes David Crosby, Janelle Monae, Brandi Carlile, Halsey, and more.
