Jaxson Robinson has committed to Texas A&M a couple of years out as a class of 2021 recruit. Buzz Williams was yet to receive a commitment from a recruit higher than a three-star until now. Williams took over the job this past spring in a surprising move from Virginia Tech. It was always going to be a full rebuild of the program and as he brings in more talent like Jaxon Robinson it should get easier.
Crystal ball over at 247 sports actually had Arkansas as the favorite to land Robinson before the sudden commitment to A&M.

Robinson has received some solid reviews in terms of his game from scouts who have seen him play. Jerry Meyer believes he’s an eventual first-round pick as someone who can score from all three levels. Robinson is a shooter with a nice quick release from deep. He’s shown to have an all-around game and not just a shooter with no depth to his game. Buzz Williams will no doubt let him put them up as he often lets his teams get up and down. His ability to develop defenders like he often did at Marquette will also no doubt be huge in Robinson’s development. This is all assuming Robinson keeps his commitment to Texas A&M while so far out from stepping on campus.
