Turn back the clock a little bit to the early 2000’s. The days when Jason Richardson and Vince Carter were the 2 best dunkers in the NBA, there was one burning question from NBA fans.
Why did a dunk contest between J-Rich and Vinsanity never happen?
They each won the dunk contest, Vince Carter in 2000 and Jason Richardson in 2002-2003 but still, there was a time where everyone wanted to see both of the fantastic dunkers square off against each other.
It looks like Richardson has left the explanation of that to Vince Carter, in a video courtesy of Travis Singleton from sneakerreporter.com, he explains it wasn’t because of him.
Now over a decade later, the 2 players are beyond their primes and seeing anything close to that now wouldn’t feel the same or even look the same at all.
