While the games greatest three point shooter may sit around for a little longer in order to properly decide where he wants to play this year, Ray Allen has garnered interest from some of the top NBA teams. The Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Washington Wizards all have expressed interest in Allen.
But according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Allen has received interest from one of his former teams, the Milwaukee Bucks, says Coach Jason Kidd.
Bucks coach Jason Kidd said the team had sincere interest in bringing veteran Ray Allen back to the team during the past summer, but the former Bucks player was not inclined to return. …
“We did contact Ray,” Kidd said. “He’s weighing his options to see where he wants to go. But we did have interest.” …
“We thought he would be a good piece for us to try to get but he didn’t have any interest.”

Allen played the first seven and a half seasons of his career with the Bucks before being traded to Seattle in the middle of his seventh for Gary Payton and other pieces, and was a key piece on the 2001 team that went to the Eastern Conference Finals that eventually lost to Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers.
But the Bucks? Really? It would be interesting though to see Allen come down the floor and catch a pass from makeshift point guard Giannis Antetokounmpo, but i wouldn’t see this making sense for Allen’s career. I think Ray just took a phone call from an old friend and showing J-Kidd some respect. The best fit for Ray Allen, in my opinion, lies in the Eastern Conference. Wizards and Cavaliers seem like good fits for Allen, but I think his best option would be to join Chicago. Come off the Bench to supplement when projected starter Doug McDermott comes off the floor and also help McDermott learn. I mean if I was McDermott I would want no one better to learn how to run an NBA floor and shoot from deep in the league than Ray Allen.
