Jarvis Landry is being investigated for battery due to an incident that occurred with the mother of his child earlier in the year. This investigation has been re-opened after police decided not to prosecute Landry earlier this year reports local reporter Adam Slater.
Police had previously looked into this incident ultimately deciding not to prosecute. The case has been forwarded the Broward County State Attorney’s office by Fort Lauderdale police department. Landry was reportedly very cooperative with the first investigation. The mother of his child also stands by the claim that Landry has done nothing wrong.
Landry is currently looking for a new contract with the Dolphins. Up to this point, the team has seemed hesitant to engage in talks, this along with the quarterback situation could affect that as well. While Adam Gase has been quiet about the whole situation he has informed reporters the Dolphins are aware of the investigation and that it will not play a role in how they approach the contract situation at all.
