Actor, musician, comedian and host Jamie Foxx is reportedly negotiating a deal to return as Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland. Foxx last played the role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 starring Andrew Garfield. More recently, he starred in Netflix’s superhero film, Project Power.
John Watts is set to return for the third film after director Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marisa Tomei, Jacon Batalon, Zendaya and Tony Revolori are all expected to return after appearing in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have also signed up to produce the film.
Marvel nor Sony have confirmed Foxx’s involvement in the upcoming film. Neither party has shared details regarding the film’s plot either
The third film is set to begin production this fall in Atlanta, Georgia. If things hold, the third installment of the superhero film franchise will arrive on December 17, 2021.
