
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will face off in the squared circle of truth on August 29. The pair announced the fight date on Friday and set the stage for their first official press conference. Woodley and Paul will meet on July 13 to reveal the agreed-upon venue for the bout along with other pertinent details.
Paul comes into the August bout with three professional boxing matches under his belt. His career began with a knockout win against Ali Eson Gib in Miami, Florida. Over the last year, he has added two more knockout wins to his resume. Adding on, he locked in a multi-million dollar fight deal with Showtime.
Meanwhile, Woodley enters the fight with no prior professional boxing experience. However, he has extensive experience in mixed martial arts. He earned a professional record of 19-7-1 with five knockouts in the UFC. In 2016, Woodley defeated Robbie Lawler to win the UFC Welterweight Championship. The Ferguson, Missouri native went on to defend the title four times before losing it to the current UFC Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman.
