Arguably the top cornerback in the 2017 NFL free agency market was scooped up on the first day of free agency. Houston Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye is departing his team but not going too far. He’s going to stay within the AFC South division and join the Jacksonville Jaguars on a huge deal.
Adam Schefter of ESPN and Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle have some details on Bouye’s contract.

The 25-year-old Bouye signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of UCF in 2013. He re-signed with the Texans on a one-year, $1.671 million restricted contract last year and made the most out of his opportunity. In one season he became one of the most sought after players in free agency.
In 2016, Bouye appeared 15 games and recorded 63 tackles, one sack, an interception and 16 pass defended. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 cornerback out of 115 qualifying players at his position.
