The real is back! Just this time last week, fans of J. Cole were in a state of massive excitement as a quiet iTunes pre-order became available for his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only. Fast-forward to today and the new album is now available worldwide and plenty of people find themselves headed to their local stores & taking to their streaming platform of choice to support the album.
While his focus seems to always be on the music, J. Cole isn’t one that appears to be lacking in the realm of commercial success. With “platinum with no features” being synonymous with his name at this point, he just may be on track to do it again as early projections for 4 Your Eyez Only‘s first week debut start to roll in.
According to HitsDailyDouble, early projections show that J. Cole could sell between 400K – 500K at the end of the first week tracking period. If this holds true, this will mark J. Cole’s highest first week sales of his career and will topple 2014 Forest Hills Drive‘s opening week of 354K. With much love and support on his side, once again, it would not come as a surprise if those projections go even higher.
Until the final numbers come in, you can stream J. Cole’s new album, here.
Update: Including streaming, the projected sales for 4 Your Eyez Only have risen to 550-575k SPS.
