Issa Rae and Lala Anthony are setting up to produce the horror film, Juju, for Universal Pictures. As it stands now, there are few details regarding the plot of the upcoming comedic horror film. However, early reports suggest that Rae and Anthony have tapped The Shade Room founder, Angelica Nwandu, to write the script. Joining Nwandu, Thembi Banks will direct the film.
Behind the scenes, Rae and Anthony will lead the producing efforts. Alongside Rae and Anthony, Deneise Davis, Sara Rastogi and Erika Baiers will help put the film together.
At this time, there are no casting developments and or release information regarding Juju. In the meantime, Anthony will continue to work on Showtime’s The Chi and Rae is working on a new film called Vengeance.
