After what was a rocky opening few weeks to their 2017-18 campaign, the Cleveland Cavaliers have righted the ship and reeled off 19 wins in their last 20 outings. On top of that, the Cavs are expecting the return of All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas to be on the horizon, something that should add another major boost to their already talented roster.
Though there have been varying reports as to when the 5’9″ floor general will make his Cavs debut, the target is now early January according to the Vertical’s Shams Charania:

With seasoned veteran Jose Calderon currently holding down starting point guard duties, the insertion of Isaiah Thomas in the lineup will make this improving Cleveland offense all the more lethal.
Though it was reported that Thomas was on schedule to return sometime in December, it appears the Washington product may need more time than that to ensure a full recovery. However, it’s fair to be skeptical about any target date being definitive, just ask Thomas himself:
Cavs Guard Isaiah Thomas is targeting the first week of April to make his debut, league sources tell IT!

I guess all you have to say is “ league Sources tell….” and your article or whatever is legit lol

Thomas had begun participating in some offensive drills as early as late November so an early January debut could be in line with his recovery from the torn labrum he’s working back from. Thomas pieced together an MVP-caliber campaign with the Boston Celtics last season and will look to produce at similar levels alongside LeBron James.
