The Boston Celtics got blown out of the water in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The home fans left disappointed after the Cavaliers’ dismantling of the C’s.
Despite the Celtics’ struggles in the opening game of the series, point guard Isaiah Thomas says that Boston isn’t scared of the Cavs:
"We're not afraid of Cleveland. They're not the Monstars. They're not Space Jam." – @Celtics @Isaiah_Thomas

Thomas is right, although LeBron James is about as close as one could get to being an actual Monstar. In game 1, James scored 38 points on 14-24 shooting, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out seven assists. Almost as impressive as James was Kevin Love, who scored 32 points on just 16 shot attempts, grabbed 12 boards and connected on six of his nine three-point attempts.
All-NBA teams were released on Thursday; James was named to the First Team, while Thomas made Second Team. No other Cleveland or Boston players made a team, although Kyrie Irving received 14 votes and Al Horford received one vote.
