The Cavaliers struggles have been hitting new lows as the season progresses, however, Tuesday’s situations have demonstrated that this is only getting worse. Isaiah Thomas yet again criticized the team publicly to the media, after the 116-98 loss to the Orlando Magic. The critique of the team wasn’t the only thing to come out in the media for Cleveland.
Tuesday started off with reports on LeBron James and his displeasure with the organization and their decision making in the team meeting this past month. As the day went on Tyronne Lue then left against the Magic due to illness, and then finally the Cavaliers blew a 21 point lead to the Orlando Magic.
The Cavs scored just nine points in the fourth quarter and got outscored 65-31 in the second half. After the devastating loss, Isaiah Thomas shared his thoughts as to why the Cavs ended up collapsing and losing to the Magic.
“When adversity hits, we go our separate ways,” Thomas told reporters. “And that’s just how I feel, and it looks like that as well. Guys start to go one-on-one on offense, and the defense is every man for himself. The first half we played good, everybody was happy. It was energized, helping each other on the defensive end. Sharing the ball. The ball was moving side to side on offense. And then we revert back to what makes us lose games.”

Thomas was then asked if there was anything the Cavs can do to address the current slump to ensure everybody gets back on the same page.
“I don’t know,” Thomas said. “I mean, when I address something, it’s like I’m blaming somebody. So I just try to lead by example and do my job. Which, obviously, I got to play better. But something needs to be addressed. I mean, we continue to play like this, we’re going to continue to lose.”
The Cavaliers have been 6-13 since Christmas day and are currently looking to get back on track soon.
