More than 20 years after former President Bill Clinton was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, FX is planning to revisit the tumultuous end to the Clinton administration with Impeachment: American Crime Story. The series will center around key figures like Clinton, Linda Tripp, Paula Jones and of course, Monica Lewinsky. Along the way, viewers will relive historic shifts in politics, workplace culture and sexism. To get fans ready for the limited series, FX has presented the first trailer.
“Impeachment: American Crime Story examines the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century through the eyes of the women at the center of the events: Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp and Paula Jones. All three were thrust into the public spotlight during a time of corrosive partisan rancor, shifting sexual politics and a changing media landscape,” the trailer’s description reads.
