Iman Shumpert (Shoulder) Practices With Cavaliers, Close To Making Debut
J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert went to the Cavaliers as a two-man package via the three-team trade with New York and Oklahoma City. Smith is in the swing of things, activating himself early and often in the Cavalier offense. Shumpert, who has been out with a shoulder injury, has yet to make his debut.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst tweeted this update on Cavs injuries, including Shumpert:
Kevin Love (back) expected to play tonight for Cavs vs. Bulls. Iman Shumpert (shoulder) appeared to do work with 2nd unit in shootaround.

Practicing again is obviously a good sign. Shumpert also put up this picture on his Instagram in his excitement to return:
Getting Shumpert active for tonight’s game against the Bulls would be great for the Cavaliers, who are frankly in need of an active, defensive spark like Shumpert at this juncture in the season.
