Some interesting audio of Hulk Hogan using racist remarks have been released and the WWE has acted swiftly removing his biography and removing Hogan from the Hall Of Fame section of their website. They have also since gone on to fire him from the WWE.
The WWE has released a statement to the National Enquirer on their decision to fire him.
WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan), WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.
Hogan admitting to the audio, has since gone on to apologize for his remarks.
Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation, it was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.
2k, who just had Hogan on the cover of 2k15, celebrating his legacy has released a statement on why they have chosen to remove Hogan from 2k16.
We are highly respectful of the way that our partners choose to run their business and manage our partnerships accordingly. We can confirm that Hulk Hogan will not appear in WWE 2K16.
