How Is Covid-19 Changing Our Lives? Five Things That Will Never Be The Same Again

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is making a difference in the lives of most people on Earth, whether they like it or not. And not all of these changes will be for the worse. Where will the coronavirus epidemic have the greatest impact? Let’s take a closer look:

Coronavirus vs online casino

The coronavirus has brought one obvious benefit to the gambling business – it showed fans of offline casinos, where lovers of music, drinking, and touching dirty buttons condemned online casinos, one simple truth – it’s safer to play online.

Even if the whole world falls into the abyss, you can be sure that a bunch of people will continue to spin the wheel of luck at the best online roulette casino. Why do people go to play? Because they need entertainment, which was very few during the pandemic. Self-isolation had a different effect on everyone, and some simply panicked, while others simply did not know what to do with themselves. Online casinos have become a great substitute for the classic holiday experience.

Remote work from home

One of the main positive aspects of the pandemic was the development of the teleworking industry. Video conferencing and teleworking are exploding in parallel with the spread of the coronavirus. In recent months, video traffic in the world has increased 2-3 times. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts quickly broke into the top apps.

Many CEOs will see that the central office and meetings, in reality, are not so necessary. After all, work can be KPI-driven everywhere and has nothing to do with the hours spent in the office.

Personal borders changes

The epidemic and quarantine measures have made the issue of borders urgent. And if the issue with geographical boundaries was temporarily decided for us, then we have to deal with personal boundaries on our own. How to behave when meeting a friend or colleague? Should we hug? Shake your hand? And if this is a close friend or relative and you want to hug, then you can, or still, refrain?

A friendly meeting is now most often a walk at a respectable distance, but if social distance does not change the essence of friendship, then the world of quarantine dating has turned into a journey through a minefield. Where was this person before meeting you? Does he use a sanitizer? Does he wash his hands?

We take more care of our body

The epidemic and isolation also affect how we interact with the body and how we relate to it: wash our hands more often and wash after coming from the street, not touch our face, sneeze on the elbow – this is taught even at the official level.
These rules have an unexpected side effect: doctors around the world report a decrease in the number of cases of infection with intestinal infections and dysentery, and taxi drivers note that passengers now practically never ozonize the air with the aromas of the work overalls in which they worked for a week.

Accelerating the development of science and increasing the role of medicine

While politicians are busy with populism, scientists are developing new tools to analyze and counter COVID-19. People who deeply understand the current problems of our world are capable of solving them, and any power structure that is unable to solve these problems on its own understands this.

Therefore, spending on science and medicine will increase. Medicine is one of the few highly intelligent spheres that can easily compete in importance with IT, and in the future, its influence will only increase.

Conclusion

Extreme situations like the COVID-19 pandemic allow us to see the conditions and subtleties of other people’s lives that are always present but difficult to perceive. In the coming months, we will learn a lot about who we have become and what we are as a society. We won’t like everything, but everything can be worked out.
