Authorities have reportedly charged Omololu “HoodBaby” Akinlolu in connection to an assault at a London nightclub two years ago. However, officials have not publicly described his alleged involvement in the assault.
Following Chris Brown, HoodBaby is the second recording artist to be reportedly charged in connection to the incident. Brown was touring through the United Kingdom when he allegedly attacked producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in London. Prosecutor Hannah Nicholls tells the Associated Press that surveillance footage shows Brown striking Diaw with a bottle before punching him and kicking him.
Brown was arrested on Thursday, May 15, 2025, and appeared before a judge at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 16. Judge Joanne Hirst denied the singer’s bail request, extending his time in custody until his next court appearance on June 13.
Brown is scheduled to kick off the XX Breezy Bowl Tour on June 8, 2025, in Amsterdam before performing across Europe and North America in July. However, it is unclear if the initial tour dates will be postponed or completely canceled.
