Yes, Kobe did take 50 shots and yes, it was his final performance but no one will ever forget where they were when Kobe Bryant lit up the Staples Center one final time for 60 points.
Bryant took a career-high 50 shots to get there and he posted his highest-scoring performance since getting 61 against New York in 2009. It was the fifth highest-scoring game of his career, and he became the oldest player to score 50 points in an NBA game and it’s also the most point from a player in their final NBA game. In the end, the Lakers came back and got Kobe the ball when it mattered most. Remember, Kobe said he wouldn’t score 50.
Hoping for Kobe Bryant to score 50 in his final game at Staples Center?

Thank you Kobe Bryant, there might be a ton of haters who wanted to see you fail and there’s a ton of people who hate that you scored 60 but it happened. Congratulations and enjoy retirement. In proper Kobe fashion, he said goodbye to the crowd and did a proper mic drop.
Mamba out. https://t.co/xrUDRVceyB
